Presspeech vs MacWhisper
Both apps now support system-wide dictation into the active text field. Presspeech is a small, fixed local pipeline built around that one job. MacWhisper combines dictation with file, meeting, video, export, model-choice, and optional AI workflows.

Choose Presspeech if you want an open-source utility with no cloud transcription path and deliberately few choices. Choose MacWhisper if you want system-wide dictation and a much broader transcription workspace in one app, especially if model choice, AI prompts, meetings, or file workflows matter.
